The story and faces of
Pure Grit
and
Team Nitro

Hi there, Ash here. If you know me you know working out is a passion of mine. But it goes way deeper than the workout, my biggest source of fulfillment comes from watching the progression of people- physically, mentally, and emotionally. I love the smiles, the "I can't" turned into "I just did that". I love how one workout can get your day going on an amazing note, or turn that stressful day around. I love seeing the confidence glow on the face of many. Most of all, I love the relationships that flourish- the one with yourself and the other being with fellow gym friends. I truly just want the best for others and want others to be their best self. So with that being said, I have worked out at some amazing gyms, met amazing people, and trained amazing girls. Jason, my husband, knows this is my passion and said, "Ash, encouraging and motivating people is your gift from God and you need to use it". So, he went looking for a space for me to grow. He's one of my biggest supporters and I love him dearly for that. We prayed over this location. Undoubtedly our prayers were answered after lots of patience. It then became a bigger answered prayer than we had anticipated, so I just let God lead me to whatever was meant to be. When we accrued the entire building, one of my first thoughts was- I want Mike to grow. I had trained with Mike, of course loved it, and I wanted us to open up the space for him as well. So here we are, joining forces. Wanting nothing but to use our gifts to better others. We both have GRIT, never giving up. Not letting this life defeat us in whatever way it may try. We push through, dig deep, and step up to whatever this life has to offer.

Mike has served our community since 2008 on the Taylorsville Police Department and is the school resource officer at ACHS. Mike is a 5th degree black belt in karate and has taught children and adults thru his Team Nitro business. He wants nothing more than for others to see Christ in him each and every day.
